Man is a social being. He cannot live alone. He meets man in every spheres of his activities. He succeeds when the man around him are his friends. The main requisite of a friend is that he understands the man properly and treats him with sympathy and tolerance. The person fails when he is surrounded by unfriendly persons I.e. evils, enemy etc. So to prosper in a person’s life a friend is must.
      
       There is a word or phrase, -- ‘’ A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed’’. This phrase depicts the true character of a friend. In sunny days people gather round us but leave us when we are in troubles. But a true friend specially remains with us in the hour of needs. This is the nature of a true friend.



       Evil company tempts us in the path of vice and misery. It dooms our life. While a true friend expands and glorifies the life.
      

One day, while I was swimming in a nearly river, unfortunately I lost my control and was about to be drowned. Everybody standing by the riverside were shouting only. A friend of mine fortunately appeared there in search of me and discovered me in that plight. He thought not, and dived into the river to pull me up and thus my life was saved. A true friend is an asset and should be valued. Friendship should be maintained through out one’s life.

THE PRIZ DAY AT OUR SCHOOL Or A MEMORABLE DAY OF MY SCHHOL LIFE Introductions: The prize day is the happiest day to us in the school. It is a very happy occasion. This year the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of our school was held on the 2 nd March. It was just the beginning of the new school session. Preparation: In the morning of that day, we decorated the school building. The campus was cleaned the day before. A gate was constructed to welcome the visitors. A pandal was built for the ceremony. Guardian and distinguished gentlemen of the town were invited. The Deputy Director of Public Instruction was requested to preside over the function. The Chairman of the Board of Secondary Education kindly consented to be the Chief Guest. The Ceremony: The president and the Chief Guest came in time. The Pandal was packed to capacity. The ceremony began with an opening song. Several poems were recited by boys. After this, the Headmaster read out the Annual Report of the school.

Some aim at acquiring knowledge, some desire for and fame. My aim: I am still in my teens. It is rather difficult for me to choose a right aim of life. But still I have chosen a definite aim in life. It is not something new. My aim in life is to be a doctor. Reason for my choice: I have my aim in life for more than one reason. More than seventy percent of our people live in villages. Most of them live in poor huts. They are ill-fed and ill-clad. They fall in an easy prey to diseases. Many of them die without any treatment. They have not enough means to go to towns and cities for treatment. I want to be a doctor to service to my country men who live in the villages.
